Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Paul Hewitt

Paul Hewitt is a psychotherapy practicum student currently completing clinical training under supervision at Afterglow Psychotherapy. He is passionate about providing LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally competent care to clients. His holistic approach to wellness is informed by an educational background in psychology, as well as professional experience in addictions, concurrent disorders, and trauma-informed practices.

Drawing from person-centered and strengths-based approaches, Paul recognizes the power of narrative therapy and its humanistic foundations. He believes that every individual has a story to tell, and that there is significant healing potential in the communication and contextualization of these stories.

Paul places strong value on balance, communication, and self-care—areas he observes are often sacrificed in the name of time, energy, or work. His work focuses on supporting clients in finding balance, developing effective communication, and cultivating a meaningful relationship with themselves.

His practice is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to explore their experiences while working toward wellness and personal goals. In sessions, clients can expect an empathetic, active-listening approach, where their stories not only matter but actively inform the therapeutic process. Those seeking support in processing complex thoughts and emotions are invited to book a consultation or contact the practice with any questions.
